Rev. Neal Mathers - Interim Moderator Our interim-Moderator is Rev. Dr. A.R.Neal Mathers B.A.,B.D.,D.Min. Neal was born, raised and educated in Scotland. He emigrated to Canada in 1977 and was ordained by The Presbytery of Northern Saskatchewan in August, 1977. He has served in the rural charge of Carragana-Sylvania Presbyterian Churches, and then in church extension at Circle West Presbyterian Church in Saskatoon. In 1985 Neal became minister of the Duntroon Pastoral Charge in the Presbytery of Barrie and led the three congregations into an amalgamation to form Emmanuel Presbyterian Church. Under his leadership a new church building was erected. In 2011 Neal became Minister of St.Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in downtown Newmarket from where he retired in December. 2017 after 40 years of active ministry.
Mia Drummond - Children & Youth Leader Mia recently became the Children and Youth leader at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Barrie. She is currently attending Ryerson University in Toronto pursuing a degree in sociology. No stranger to the congregation, Mia attended church school at St. Andrews as a child and volunteered at Vacation Bible Camps in recent years. Mia is very excited to be working with the children and youth of St. Andrews.
Chris Bohdanowicz – Musical Director Chris joined St Andrew Staff in September 1991. Since 1975, he served congregations in Toronto and played organ recitals. Chris graduated from St Michael’s Choir School in Toronto earning an ARCT in Organ Performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music. He holds a B.A. and a B. Ed from the University of Toronto. Chris is married and has two children, a motorcycle (faster than Rick’s) and a dog. Chris enjoys sharing his love of music with St Andrews choir and congregation.
Barb Drummond – Secretary: Barb has been the Secretary here at St. Andrew’s for the past twenty two years. Fulfilling her role in the church office while enjoying the camaraderie of the church family gives her a great sense of enjoyment. Barb has lived in Barrie all of her life and has one son, one daughter and two grandchildren.
Ashley Brammer - Custodian A graduate of P.S.C.I. in1985, An accomplished pianist, he has earned his grade 10 Piano from the Royal Conservatory of Music. At present, he is studying the banjo in his spare time. His interests include history, music, the outdoors, gardening, poetry and travel. His favourite destinations are Germany and the Caribbean Island of St. Maarten. He resides in Barrie with his wife Wendy.
