Each Sunday morning the teachers of the St. Andrew’s Church School welcome children who are in Junior Kindergarten to grade 9. The children sit in church with their families for the first part of the service. They are then invited forward to spend time with Dr. Horst, after the children’s hymn. After children’s time, students are lead to their classrooms. Our classes are divided by grade, as follows:
- JK-grade 1 meet in the Activity Room (kitchen side)
- Grade 2-4 meet in the Activity Room (children’s library side)
- Grade 5-9 meet upstairs in the office classroom
Each Sunday’s 40-minute lesson comes from the Seasons of the Spirit curriculum – a lectionary-based program that moves through the seasons of the church year as stories of faith are explored. Children are dismissed at the end of the service. Children in the nursery and our youngest class need to be picked up by a parent or guardian. Check out our gallery to see some of the amazing works of art our children have created, and some of the fantastic activities they’ve participated in!
Youth Group meetings are always fun! We welcome youths between the ages of 13 and 18, and are always looking for friends! We meet every two weeks on Fridays at 6pm. We have dinner together as a group, and then move onto whatever great activities we have planned. We meet for movies (both in house and at the theatre), laser tag, Minute-to-win-it nights, Sports and Games, YouTube faith-based discussions, and so much more!
